De Neef Van Fred is a bistro, bar and café, in Amsterdam West. Studio Modijefsky has redesigned the front bar space and created a new design for the intimate ‘garden room’, in the back of the cafe. Using brass, textured glass, wood paneling, and leather sofas with turned wooden legs, the interior of the garden room is designed with a nod to the typical brown cafes of Amsterdam.
